To achieve maximum discounts, 100% of all standard pieces in a particular mailing must be certified through the Postal Service's Coding Accuracy Support System - CASS. The mailing must also be sorted according to the Presort Accuracy Validation and Evaluation - PAVE - Program. Finally, the printing software must have official POSTNET barcode certification.
